So i feel left out, not showing off my room to everyone on live journal at the beginning of the year, so i figure the week after frost week (drunk week) is good enough for me.

the view from my door, sorry i have not had the chance to clean up, i swear me and james are usually cleaner. also note the sick "porn its cheaper then dating sticker on my fridge."

my side, nothing to special, except for the london calling poster, and the trippy beatles poster.

my closet is empty, because i have not done laundry recently (notice pile of clothes at bottum of picture) also the numerous empties above it. the picture does not nearly do justice to the amount of alchol that is up there.

my greatest distraction (the tv not jordan sweet sweet jordan)

the fridge filled with beer cheese and meat. mmmm university diets are awesome.

the world famous chown wall, i will now list off some of the comments left beside it.

As you may see i have done some cleaning of my live journal, to be accurate i have butchered it, so say goodbye to my long running narratives of drunken idiocy and teenage angst. Say hello to a new, deeper journal (shakes head). I have kept certain journals because well they are either full of pictures or i think the spelling is almost perfect.

Back to Queen's on Saturday and unlike some, i am really looking forward to it. Its been an amazing christmas vacation, even if i don't remember how amazing it was at certain points cough new years cough.

I think as i look back on my last year or so of my time in Ottawa (as a permanent resident) i will remember, grudgingly, my walks up Chapel Hill as some of my fondest times. It's weird, even as a cursed OC Transpo for its lack of late night local buses, i really did enjoy the walks themselves. It gave me an opportunity, to rethink the nights events, and clear the mind of all sorts of negativity rocking out to my latest album, and cursing how cold or hot it was. Not to mention it gave me an the time to work of the nights drinks on most occasions. Its funny, you would think that i would remember the events of the night before my walk as better times, but for some reason the all faze into one giant memory, where as i pretty much can vividly describe every walk i took up that hill.

But now to the real point of this entry, Farewell Gretchen, you made this year far to much fun for its own good. Its a sad leaving but not goodbye, more of a see you later.

Always remember, The longest road out is the shortest road home.

We Looked Like Giants

I miss the days when i was younger, everything seemed so simple, and made sense no matter which way you looked at it. It was easy, you had your friends, you had the people you hated, and every girl had cooties. I think life would be a lot simpler if we could draw friendship down those same lines as we grow older and move on to new opportunities (and the like). Instead now it gets mixed up, thrown around, and is never what it appears to be. One is never sure if the feelings you have ring true (or if they are shared by the other party), if your friendship is shared by the other person, etc, etc.

I just wish that everything was easy to decide upon as it was in grade three, everyone in those days seemed so sure about life and the world at large.

Edit: I just got on to thefacebook.com thingy, its pretty awesome i know some of the people who are living in McNeil avec moi, yet still have not heard from my room mate but such is life. Add me if you feel a distinct need to do as such.
